My mother is doing okay. She's pretty wiped out, and she's being fed intravenously -- apparently, she either can't swallow yet, or they're just not sure. She's had a CAT scan, an XRay, an echocardiogram, and blood tests, and tomorrow she's getting an MRI, speech therapy, and physical therapy. Should be a fun day. It could be my imagination, but I think that her speech is a hair clearer than it was this morning. It's still badly slurred, of course. In a way, it's like listening to a three year old talk, where the kid knows what they want to say, you just don't understand it. So you pick out phrases and make guesses.
I had told my wife that I was waiting to see what would crop up to interfere with the dental surgery on Monday -- so far, everything but insurrection has occurred -- but I have to admit, I didn't anticipate this.
