Most of my French/English conversation today was about the killings in Toulouse, and the American gun culture. Though we did evenually talk about movies -- my partner noted that the last three movies I saw or bought were French (even if one of them is in English).
He gets points for listening to me fight my way through the French, saying things that I'm sure came out like Why him it do we know it not good again?, without saying Bill, Bill, speak in English, at least. I was surprised, myself, at how intense I got.
