This makes me ashamed of my country.

Poor sensitive little Dutch boy.

What a stupid sense of entitlement! Oh, they were sarcastic. Oh dear! Nobody beat him up. Nobody stole anything. Nobody tore his suitcase apart. Nobody did anything except decide that there was far too many questions about a very complicated individual to bother to allow him to proceed. They don't HAVE to, you know!
I have no sympathy for him. And stop hurting for him.
There are a lot nastier "border" stories on you tube. This fellow is just a little rich boy who felt he was hard done by!
As for the border guards. Clearly they don't travel themselves. But they did their jobs. Maybe they were the Neanderthals of the border. Hey, thats where they end up. I deal with 'em every second week when I cross to pick up parcels. I think they are great people, but again, like so many Americans AND Canadians, if you don't travel, you don't "get it".
You WANT picky suspicious border guards! Besides,....nobody who goes into the US goes in without fingerprints. Except Canadians, who now all have to have a valid passport. Asking him for fingerprints is routine.

Spoiled kid.
Cock sure border police.
Complicated passports.

What did he expect?

I don't know what he expected, but I expect civility and professionalism. This was one step away from we don't like your kind here, boy.....

Do we have to accept this because in other countries they'd have beat him up, too? I don't think so. But then again, I'm a liberal.
