I have known for several decades that I am no longer fifteen years old, but this morning I got a reminder.

I was sitting in the van, watching as a group of kids got onto a school bus. One boy stepped on a patch of ice, and his legs shot forward from under him. Without missing a beat, he stuck his arm out backwards as he came down, and with a jerk shoved himself back up onto his feet and kept walking. No big deal.
