Airborne

I have almost no interest in zeppelins or in the Graf Hindenburg, but I found this description of the Hindenburg's interior to be fascinating.  Before this, all I knew of the interior of a zepplin was this scene from that Indiana Jones movie!

Very cool. I've always been a zeppelin fan. If I had a Tardis, I'd definitely go back and travel in one (I'd make sure, of course, that I didn't take a trip on one that was going to crash.) I read once that you could ride in the observation car and look out the window and watch as people ran out of their homes to look up at you, and hear dogs on the ground barking at you as you went over them.

I've heard that, too. I had even heard that there were people trying to restart the idea of 'airships' for short-range flights, and maybe not so short. It'd be interesting, I think. Then again, Indiana Jones had the ability to make EVERYTHING look like fun.
