Interesting

Between the time that I went down to vote, and to hang out as a doorstop, and the time when I went home for lunch (no more than two hours), the price of gas went up ten cents.

Now I see that there are shortages here on rice, oil, and flour, as a result of difficulty in getting them to market.

Good thing we have the gummint looking out for us.

Ok, I'm going to try and put a postive spin on that.

Rice and flour make me fat, and oil use is bad for the environment. So, see??? I shouldn't be using them anyway :)

Yeah...I don't really buy it either.

There's a line from Blazing Saddles that says it well:

"We've gotta protect our phoney-baloney jobs, gentlemen, we must do something about this immediately!"

But will they? Doubt it.
