Ah ok. I'm a ham radio operator, and for us, YL is an abbreviation for Young Lady, which fits perfectly into the context of the post. So I assumed that you might also be a ham.
As for the rest, XYL is ex-young lady (as in wife), OM means Old Man, and 73 means Best Regards. :)
