Cooking

Hunting for a recipe in one of our cookbooks, I came across one for 'home style sausage', using ground turkey as the basis. The ingredients sound pretty good -- onion, apple, brown rice, spices - so we got the stuff and mixed it up. Tomorrow, we're either going to be staring at each other across the breakfast table in disbelief.... or we're going to be staring at each other across the breakfast table in disbelief.

I'm hoping its the first.

My brothers and sisters get together every year and make a huge batch of Italian sausage for all their chile during the winter. I don't live there...so never got to participate.

I'm told some of that turkey sausage taste pretty good but have never tried
it. I'm spending almost a C-note a month on groceries, supposedly buying better quality?, like Angus hamburger meat instead of regular beef, Organic milk and organic this and organic that. Is it better quality, better taste, better for you? Who knows? The little lady thinks so... does she also know we're on a budget.

My hunch is that organic doesn't necessarily mean better. But I am sure that there are a lot of people who feel differently. Proving it might be a different question. Proving it to my satisfaction, even more so.
