Next year, we're going to spend some time in France and in Italy. Not exactly sure how much in each, but certainly at least a week in Italy, and at least two or three weeks in France. Therefore, I thought
wouldn't it be a good idea if I could speak a little Italian? Accent on the
little. So two nights ago, I took the very first DuoLingo Italian lesson.
Ahem.
IO MANGIA UNA MELA!
Okay, this may take a while....

I do admire your search for language capability. I took a quick class in Italian once for a trip. I have no desire to learn that difficult French.
Thanks. Its kind of a strange feeling, having to start at the very beginning = which, Julie Andrews aside, isn't all that much fun. But who knows? Maybe I'll end up making some Italian friends. At the very least, I'll suddenly appreciate the French that I DO know.
