Today is my birthday.
I was delighted, busy, furious, sleepy, hungry, and pleased at various points during the day.
Some because I had to solve serious and pressing problems at work, some because I have a wonderfully creative daughter with a great smile, and some because of miscommunications.
But I spent the last half hour sitting and talking quietly with my wife.
So it's been a pretty good birthday, after all.
Happy Birthday, mine was actually 3 days ago, my husbands is in a week or so. August birthdays are all the rage.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have the ups and downs like your day went. Mine was just kinda hectic and stressful.
Even though I am an adult now, I still get excited about my birthday, the problem is, noone else does because I'm an adult hehe.
I tell people that I really don't care, and that I make a big deal about it only because it delights my daughter to do so. And that's mostly true.
